Ali za mene, nagrada je bila uvek ista miris koji me vraća kući.

Wilted roses on old, yellowed pages don’t speak of endings but of what endures. They tell of recipes passed from hand to hand, from spoken word to written page and from paper into hearts. They speak of old, yellowed notebooks dusted with flour, stained with coffee and scribbled with pencil lines barely visible, but never forgotten.

As the smell of coffee fills the room, images return to me, my mother’s hands folding dough, the soft rustle of a notebook opening to a favorite recipe and my grandmother’s quiet voice explaining why the dough must “rest.”

Night Poppy Roulades

The very first recipe I share here carries a special emotion. It was first published in the British magazine My Favourite Recipes and even received an award. But for me, the true reward has always been the same a scent that brings me back home.
