Here, among wilted roses and the crumbs of old papers, with a cup of homemade coffee, I tell you stories that smell like the past and still speak.

Wilted roses on old, yellowed pages don’t speak of endings but of what endures. They tell of recipes passed from hand to hand, from spoken word to written page and from paper into hearts. They speak of old, yellowed notebooks dusted with flour, stained with coffee and scribbled with pencil lines barely visible, but never forgotten.

As the smell of coffee fills the room, images return to me, my mother’s hands folding dough, the soft rustle of a notebook opening to a favorite recipe and my grandmother’s quiet voice explaining why the dough must “rest.”
Here, among these pages and faded petals, Smiki’s Corner comes to life a space for recipes that preserve scents, sounds and emotions.

Mirisi Sećanja

Ovde, među uvelim ružama i mrvicama starih hartija uz šoljicu domaće kafe, pričam vam priče koje mirišu na nekad i još uvek govore.

Uvele ruže na hartijama ne pričaju o kraju već o onome što traje. Pričaju o receptima koji su prešli sa ruku na ruke, sa jezika na papir, sa papira u srca. O starim požutelim tekama, posutim brašnom sa flekama od kafe i crtama olovke koje su jedva vidljive ali nikad zaboravljene.
 
Dok miris kafe puni sobu, vraćaju mi se slike, majčine ruke kako savijaju pitu, šuštanje sveske kad se otvori na omiljeni recept i tihi glas bake koji objašnjava zašto tjesto mora da "odmori".
Ovde, među tim stranicama i uvelim laticama, nastaje Smiki’s Corner kutak za recepte koji čuvaju mirise, zvuke i osećanja.
