Savet
Ako zelite mozete iskoristiti sav fil, napuniti kosarice i ispeci ih, pa prohladjene spremiti u plasticne kutije sa poklopcom, svaki red odvojiti papirom za pecenje i zamrznuti. Kad ih zelite jesti ostavite ih par sati na sobnoj temperaturi da se otkrave, pospite prah secerom i posluzite.

Ingredients
(1/2 cup = 125 ml)
100 ml red wine or mulled wine
1/2 cup brown sugar
250 g fresh cranberries
1 tsp of ground ginger, cinnamon and clove (each)
1 tangerine
1/2 cup sultanas
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1-2 tbsp brandy or rum
2 tbsp vanilla extract
Honey, to taste
Method
1. Bring the wine and sugar to boil in a saucepan. Once the sugar dissolves, add the cranberry and spices. If using frozen cranberries instead of fresh ones, they don't need to be defrosted. After this, add the zest, juice and a couple of segments of tangerine. Add sultanas, raisins and dry cranberries, and simmer for 20 minutes.
2. Leave to cool slightly, then add the vanilla, honey and brandy or rum. For a recipe on how to make mince pies, click here. The rest of the filling can be put in an airtight container or a glass jar and kept in the fridge for future use.
Tip
You can always make more pies to use up all of the filling that you have made. Once baked you can freeze them. Leave them for a couple of hours to defrost, then dust with icing sugar before serving.
