Welcome to a special series on Smiki’s Corner where I bring to life over 30 recipes that I had the honor of publishing in the British magazine My Favourite Recipes "Take a Break" between 2011 and 2019.

My Favourite Recipes is part of the Take a Break magazine, a popular British brand known for its accessible, tasty and family friendly recipes that are a part of everyday life for many readers. The magazine was a favorite among homemakers and cooking enthusiasts across the UK, offering inspiration and tried and tested recipes for every occasion.

Between 2011 and 2019, I had the incredible honor of publishing over 30 recipes in My Favourite Recipes. Each one holds a special place in my heart some have even won awards, while others have simply become cherished favorites for many. Together, they create a rich tapestry of traditional flavors, simple yet comforting meals and the warm aromas of home cooking.

But these recipes are more than just food they tell the story of my journey as a cook stepping into the public eye, fueled by a deep love for homemade dishes and the priceless joy of sharing food and memories with others.

Dobrodošli u serijal omiljenih recepata iz moje porodice i magazina!

U ovom posebnom serijalu vodiću vas kroz neke od najdražih recepata koje sam imala priliku da delim sa vama kroz My Favourite Recipes magazin ali i one koje sam nosila iz svoje porodice i detinjstva. Svaki recept krije posebnu priču, mirise i uspomene koje volim da oživim i podelim.

My Favourite Recipes je deo porodice magazina Take a Break, poznatog po pristupačnim i ukusnim receptima koji su deo svakodnevnog života mnogih domaćinstava u Velikoj Britaniji. Ovi recepti su deo moje kulinarske priče, neki su nagrađeni, neki su osvojili srca mnogih a svi zajedno čine mozaik tradicionalnih ukusa, jednostavnih jela i toplih domaćih mirisa.

Svaki recept donosi i priču o mojim prvim koracima u javnom svetu kuvanja, o ljubavi prema domaćem i o vrednosti koju nosi deljenje hrane i uspomena.
